| Matthew's photo of the eclipse taken from the meadow |
The lovely hospice nurse came this afternoon. It is so amazing having the extraordinary support of the hospice team, each and every one. Tashie is now sleeping very peacefully. She is in her own world to a great extent, but I was surprised just a few minutes ago when I read her a comment, and she smiled and said, That's nice. Her beloved kitties are sleeping at her feet, the candles and tiny lights are lit. The Jack-O-Lantern's teeth are beginning to collapse in on themselves, so it's getting ready to roll to the outdoors.
Looking back, Tashie crossed the bridge to the meadow to watch the eclipse. The crossing was made possible by strong young (and not so young) men who carried her in her wheelchair all the way to the meadow. She has said often how much she loved being back in the meadow full of so many memories.
And the eclipse? Oh, it was fine, but the best part was being in the meadow.
We love you Tashie! I am imagining you in your beloved home in Camp Sherman holding court. So many great memories of you there in your element. We are thinking of you and your whole family. Than
